RE: seamaster landing gear
IF you have a grass field, forget the wheels. One of the things I enjoy most about the SeaMaster is flying it off its belly from grass.
If you scroll down to the videos in this review, you can see me doing just that:

RE: seamaster landing gear
I've got two sets of landing gear that I'll never use that you can have for the cost of postage. Does your Seamaster have the brass tubes installed for the main gear and the nylon mount in the nose? If not it might be a little tricky to retrofit but where there's a will!!!! If memory serves the CG is 3-1/4", I'll try to remember to check my plans tomorrow. As mentioned though if you have a grass runway don't worry about wheels. Snow works great also and of course water is what Seamasters like the best. IMHO.
