Default Sea Commander Floats

Putting Sea Commander 46" on H9 T-Craft. 1st time with glass floats and scale "N strut" installation. Any recommendation and/or technique on how to attach the struts/blocks to the fuselage. Happy Holidays

Default RE: Sea Commander Floats

How about an aluminum plate permanently attached inside of the fuselage that the small strut barstock will attach to? If or when you remove the floats, the struts can be unbolted from the bar stock. On full scale aircraft, aren't the attachment tabs permanent fixtures that show outside of the fuselage even when wheels are attached? A lighter fix might be to attach metal tabs to the barstock that then screw into a wood reinforced fuse bottom similar to the way Balsa USA floats attach. I guess that the method depends on how scale you intend to have the project.
