Default U.S. Aircore Floats? and general questions.

Hi all,

I received a partially built 40 size trainer plane for free (no idea what model) and would like to make it a floater. Are the U.S. Aircore floats pretty decent?

This model:

Also, any other tips for mods to the airframe to get it ready for the lake?

I did a forum search on "aircore" and hit 11 threads. I don't remember anybody saying anything bad about aircore floats, adn they would be indestructible, altho I have never had a problem landing on logs, etc.

I put a set of these floats on my trainer also since they were fairly inexpensive, just to see if I enjoyed float flying. I never had any problems at all with them and they worked well. Just make sure to seal up ALL openings so no water can get in and have fun!
