Default Electric seaplanes???

Is anyone flying an electric seaplane. Any info on how they perform..any pitfalls. Looking at a couple different ones and just curious of other peoples experiences with them. Thanks in advance.

I have scratch built a couple as well as one kit. The most difficult aspect is cooling the electronics. I found the best is to set up with min watts used to keep it cool as you do wan't the airplane water proof. With the right combo they fly as good as the fuel models.

Default Electric seaplanes???

Within the last 10 days, there was a post on the ezone by someone reporting success with a park flier on floats. I didn't pay that much attention at the time, but you should be able to find it with a search of the forum. Good luck, Dzl

I would consider a good contact cleaner for the electronics after a day of flying. I notice on my sea planes that the switch harness corrodes fairly quickly. Clean the batteries and connectors every day so you don't loose one in flight. Thats where my switch failed before I noticed the problem. I now replace the switch on my sea plane every fall after flying.
