How do you determine the size of the floats. I have a electric called a ThreeDee400 by Scorpio. Dim's:
Wings 36"
Length 29.5"
Weight 21 oz.
Any idea on size float? 19" seem ok?
I saw a post with site [link]http://www.foamfloats.com[/link]. Anyone had any experience with this place? Seems reasonably priced.

The formula is usually 75% of fuselage length, so 19" is in the ballpark. Position the step on the CG and see if the tips of the floats are a couple of inches ahead of the prop. IMHO foam floats are the way to go. Happy splash downs!!

These guys seem to make a lot of small, lightweight floats for electrics: (AND they list a 19" size)

measure from the prop to the CG and multiply by 2.5 to get the float length.
make sure at least 10% of the length is ahead of the prop.
