Default Does anyone fly Falcon float planes

I learned to fly five years ago on a Falcon trainer the " Ready ". It is vertually unbreakable and a super flyer. Falcon makes several planes for floats and they are all plastic, tough and well made. I have two of them, the Cessna and the Ready and the floats to go with them also made by Falcon. All good flyers. I haven`t flown on water YET, but soon. I am sure some one out there must be water flying these planes. I would like some feedback on your experience. Thanks Reg in Miami

Reg,

I did a review of the Beaver on Floats for RCUniverse Magazine. Here's a link:

Hi Mike

Thanks for the come back. Your article on the Beaver was excellent. I think I can look forward to some good water flying with the Falcon products.

Nobody has ever had anything bad to say about the Falcon Trading planes.

Hi Jim

Thanks for the input. It`s just that I have two Falcon planes and I am soon to put them on the water, and I have to make the best with what I have. I think it`s a good start. I am not a scratch or kit builder but an arf flyer. I would rather fly than build. Granted those people that have the time to build, I am sure can almost
always build a better and lighter plane every time. I have read many of the comments that you have posted to this forum and I have picket up a lot of good information....Thanks....My best Reg

My first float plane was a "Ready on Floats" from a swap meet a few years ago, I put a OS 46 FX on it and had a ball, completely different experience flying off water. Since then I've had many "wet" planes, in my hangar is a Ultra stick 40 with Falcon floats, a World Mach trainer with Falcon floats, a World Combat 25 ZERO with a single GeeBee float and wing tip floats, a Seamaster single and twin (one fuse, two wings) and a beat up Mariner 40 (I may put the Mariner on floats just to be different).
Since I moved to Nevada 6 months ago I've had the chance to fly from snow and ice with my float planes, piece O cake.
FYI, Falcon has a kit to mount floats on any plane with trike gear.

Hi Carlos
Seems like you have really gotten your feet wet, getting in to float flying with gusto. S
I am glad you are really enjoying it. Well great. I will soon also share the experience. Thanks for the come back..............Reg

I fly all 4 of the Falcon planes on floats and they have been a blast for years, in fact I have 2 of the Beavers and plan on getting another Cessna it is super with a 91 4stroke using a 3 bladed prop. Try them, you'll love em. I also have the Jupiter and have thought many times about trying to mount a set of the Falcon floats to it, to lazy I guess as I have the floats already and it hasn't happened yet.
Don't worry about about these planes, just set them up like they say and go ENJOY..

Correction to my post 4.. I fly all (3) Falcon float planes. They only make 3. I was counting my Beavers twice. Sorry!!
