I finished building a GP Cub 40 on floats. I'm just curious to know if learning to fly on floats is much harder than just using wheels?
I'd also like to ask if there is anyone who lives in the greater Vancouver area who would be willing to instruct for me or knows someone who would. I'm anxious to get out there and learn but I'm having troubles finding an instructor.
Thanks

Have you tried contacting the Model Airplane Association of Canada (MAAC) <http://www.maac.ca/>, to be put in touch with a local club?
The Cub is not what I'd advise using for a basic trainer. Is that the problem?
Lots of people fly floatplanes off of snow in winter. I'd imagine the Cub is easier to handle on takeoff with floats than with wheels.
Cheers,
CR
