Default Ace Seamaster engine

I was wondering if anyone has any advice how to make the cowl for my Ace Seamaster fit ther Saito 72. It's not long enough to cover the engine. The front of the prop washer suppose to be 4-1/4 from the front of the firewall, but since the carb is in back of the engine it stickes out about 1/2 an inch further and wont fit. Does anybody knw any tricks?

I had a similar problem and decided just to run without the Cowl.
Nobody seems to care. Not even me anymore.
Would you happen to have the plans still?
I am looking for the elevator throw.
If you could let me know I would appreciate it.

Thanks and good luck,
Doug
