hello, want to try building floats out of pink styrophoam. Does any body have a template that I could print in a couple of pages to trace? Am not very good @ drawing. Am building them for a 40 class trainer low wing. (Phoenix Dolphin 40). Also if their are any suggestions on what to use for gear That a guy might just have lying around? Am new to the building part but sounds fun to try to do. Thanks again

Can't help you with the size & shape of the floats but here are a few pics of an easy way to mount the floats to the plane. They are made of 1/8 x 1 aluminum purchased at Home depot and bent to the proper angles.

Forgot to mention that my brother makes and sells pink foam core floats of various sizes. Take a look at www.geocities.com/planefunfloats

If you want to build your own floats here is the best article ever.

If you want to blow up a drawing as a go-by, here's a scaleable plan.

40-size models generally need floats around 32" long.
