Default North Star CG

I picked up this North Star at an auction and have flown it off snow a few times. The CG is at the recommended spot it seems a little nose heavy. Has any one moved it back a little? Thanks George

This Northstar looks more like an Arrow then a Northstar... Are you sure this is a Northstar?

It is a Northstar,The wing tips don't have the sponsons like the original. It also has the horiz. stab.
I new when I flew mine the first time it was nose heavy and took weight out of the nose to get it to fly right. If it balances on the C.G. I would start there then if you have to fly it with a lot of up elev.,I would back off the nose weight an ounce or two at a time.A nose heavy plane will fly again,a tail heavy plane flys once.

Thanks Jeffo, Yes it is a northstar. Could you tell me the size of your wing tip floats? I am going to fly off water with it, so I will have to build a set. George

THey're basically 1.75h x 2.0w x 3" past the aileron. They feather into the feading edge and then there is a transition into a box a couple inches back. Can easily be done with a french curve.I would probably make them out of blue/pink foam.
