Default thinking on doing this...

I came across this bird as I was doing research for a possible flying boat design that would be just a little bit different....

It's an interesting concept but was dropped in favor of the then newly emerging technology... the helicopter!

When I have more time, I'll see what I can do in coming up with a workable RC design for this flyingboat. There's not much info available out there and I need to find a good detailed multy view...

ps... I know what she is ... do you?

Would it ruin your day if I said a plan was available. R/C Scale International published a plan for a 10 cell electric Seagull. I went through all my back issues but I seem to be missing that issue. I think I have an article from Airplane Monthly on the full size, and a 3 view from Nexus filed away. I can make copies if your interested.

Hey cf-drg, I'd say about 45 min to an hour once you get off the ferry. Unfortunately, there is no direct hwy route. I've just opened another new thread, announcing the float fly to all interested parties., and posted the url to our web-site... Keep an eye open for directions and other news.
