I came across this bird as I was doing research for a possible flying boat design that would be just a little bit different....
It's an interesting concept but was dropped in favor of the then newly emerging technology... the helicopter!
When I have more time, I'll see what I can do in coming up with a workable RC design for this flyingboat. There's not much info available out there and I need to find a good detailed multy view...

you got it John. as I said, not much info to be had on this bird... I'm realy in need of some good detailed multi views for this....

Would it ruin your day if I said a plan was available. R/C Scale International published a plan for a 10 cell electric Seagull. I went through all my back issues but I seem to be missing that issue. I think I have an article from Airplane Monthly on the full size, and a 3 view from Nexus filed away. I can make copies if your interested.

I wasn't aware that there were plans available for the supermarine 381 seagull, I'll check into this... but for sure I'd appreciated any info you may have.... maybe get together over a cup of java.... let me know..
by the way if you haven't heard.. our club is hosting a float fly on Sunday May the 4th... check out the above web-site.

Float fly May 4
I'm going to try and make that float fly to but got to go to a wedding on the Sat the 3...Plus I,m from the Island to.. I might be pretty messed up on the Sun...Darn friends always getting married and stuff...Just wondering how long from the ferry terminal to the lake?

Hey cf-drg, I'd say about 45 min to an hour once you get off the ferry. Unfortunately, there is no direct hwy route. I've just opened another new thread, announcing the float fly to all interested parties., and posted the url to our web-site... Keep an eye open for directions and other news.
