does any one have any suggestions or how to on this subject .I would love to make my cessna an amphib with retracts thanks

Go to the "Winglets on Beaver" thread under the Seaplane site. About half way down the page, I had a discussion with a fellow from New Zealand who had the same interest as you.

Attached is a pic of a larger J3 on amphibs.
