Default Seamaster 120 build

I am in the process of building a SeaMaster 120. I have the plans and assembly manual. Problem is: neither one tells me what the pylon is made of. Has anyone built this model before? Also, what engine do you think I would be happy with. I can go glo or gas. Thanks

Default RE: Seamaster 120 build

I'm pretty sure they use plywood. As for power I've seen guys use up to Moki 2.1 and S.T.3250.I use a moki 1.35,nice combo.I probably would stay away from gas, with that single post pylon may not handle it.There was a lot of twanging on those pylons with those Moki 2.1 & S.T.-Jeffo
