Default Tips on set up.

I have a GP Giant Stick that I am thinking about bolting on my set of sig 1/4 scale floats from another project a few years ago. My first go at float flying was a Robon Hood 99 with the sig floats. When I started to taxi the floats went under warter till I was able to pull the Robin Hood out of the warter and get airborn[:'(] That it was a hand full eventhough it was balanced after I put the floats on. After I got it back down someone told me floats took a lot of setup and more then just bolting on and checking the balance.

Soooo, I see that the wing needs set about 2+ deg to the floats. What else do I need to know??? What about mounting location of the floats?

Thanks

Charles

just watched a videed to be 80eo on this today ... floats need to be 80% of the fus. and the spacing needs to be 25% width on the centers. Further the floats need to be 2 inches in front of the prop swing circle as well as 2 inches between the float deck and the prop disk bottom arc... this ia all form memory so far. the data can be found on the sullivan web site http://users.cwnet.com/zdgreg/JSFloats.html for prices http://www.smilesandwags.com/Floatsi...%20TUNING.html for setup info.
