Default KMP CL215

Howdy
Has any one bought and flown the KMP CL215.
Im looking for some feed back.
It sure looks good to me,and i think i could build a dolly of some sort so it could be fastened to the fuse for land use.
Thanks
Frank

The Twin thread only has a couple of different planes on it without much building specifics, modifications, etc. Why are there so few owners of this awesome plane?

I think the reason for not being popular is because it dosnt have a landing gear.
Its only for water use.
Most if not all of the CL215 are land based except when being used for fire fighting.
Its a shame it dosent have landing gear,if it did i would have had one my now.

One of our members has one he flew at our fall fun fly. Power is 2 OS 55's. Almost VTO with that power. I think a couple of good 40's or 45's would be ample and still have a great reserve of power. Most of the flying was done at about 1/2 throttle. It's a very tempting plane to buy since I'm hooked on float flying. Let's see if I can make some space in the basement.
