Mariner 120 CG and Control Throws ??
Hello,
A friend gave me a Mariner 120. He had a control problem on the maiden flight tore the belly out on the rocks. I've put it back together but I don't know where the CG should be. He can't find the manual. I went on line to look, but since Hobbico bought Lanier, all evidence the Mariner ever existed is gone. Too Bad. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I too have a 'passed on' mariner 120 but like you, no written info, and so was not able to answer your previous post.
Originally it was flown with an OS 120 twin and was a dog. Looked and sounded good but only just flew.
One problem with these mariners is the covering - it peels off - not good particularly for a flying boat. Last winter I recovered the fuse with World(solar)tex and fitted a Magnum 180 4 str. Now it has much more get up ang go.
Another small mod was to add 1/4" more depth to the sub fin to protect the rudder. It was continually getting dammaged when beached.
