RE: Beaver with floats
Marco, I have a 40 size Beaver that I bought from a freind last year, who built it from a set of plans. WingSpan 76", Fuse length 44". I haven't gotten the plans from my friend yet, but assume, that I am the new owner of them also. Every thing out there right know seems to be bigger, or smaller................ If you want I can see about copying a set out for you. Be fore warned, this would take a lot of your time to build. I think at least 100 hours. I think the E-Flite beaver could be flown on gas. I think at least a 40 two-cycle, or 52 four cycle. They kind of of imply that it Alledgedly is "20", but it has weight more like a 40, or 60.... IMHO.

RE: Beaver with floats
Marco, I just yesterday saw on "RichmondRC" an ARF 40 size beaver, they also sell matching floats. White, or yellow. If I were looking to buy a 40 beaver, I would strongly consider. I have seen a couple of planes from VMAR. In general they were O.K. for the price paid. One of them seemed really goofy to me though. It had a semi-symetrical wing, and it looked to me like the airfoil had been built "Up Side Down". The curvature of the airfoil seemed greater on the underside. I was not the purchaser. If I had bought it, I would have tried to swap wing panels, or return it for a refund. It depends what price range you are looking at. Can any one please chime in here on planes from VMAR??? Good, or bad? I would talk to some one on the phone at RichmondRC about return policy Before buying.

Try www.arcmodelfly.com. They are in Italy and most countries can get them, they just don't have them in the States anymore. Neat planes made out of ABS plastic. I still have one . Good luck. ENJOY !!! RED

RE: Beaver with floats
Hobbypeople have modelfly in the US. But they don't stock the floats.
Here's a link to the beaver.
It's unexplainable why they call it a Beev, as it hardly looks like one, but it IS reported to fly very nicely.

RE: Beaver with floats
The kits we got were advertised for a .46 but were really just for electric, we had to add an extra firewall to strengthen it up which wasnt a bad thing as it could be sealed better for water use.
The cowling is also very thin, but apart from that they were really good and just fly fantastic, easily the best high wing model I have flown off water.
The Float kit is excellent, I will buy another set to use on a different model.

ORIGINAL: 4*60
I would personally not consider VMAR. Not real balsa, heavy, etc., etc. Imho
