Does anybody remember the set of articles done years ago by, I think, Mr. Cunningham? There were a whole set of rules of thumb that pertained to the plane without using any set measurements.
I seem to remember floats spaced at 1 1/2 times the prop diameter, float length at 75% of fuse length; stuff like that. If those articles are still available somewhere, I think they'd be of great assistance to guys putting float planes together.
I used 'em when I stuck floats on my Balsa USA Stik and it worked just fine and dandy.
By the way - when using GeeBee floats - REMEMBER to tape over the vent hole in the floats.....strange things happen to your CG when there's water sloshing around inside

My Feedback: (1)
I don't walk on water, and I stumble frequently walking down the bank.
However, the website has a LOT of stuff about how to set up floats, including a link to Lindy's website with the Chuck Cunningham article. Also, Ed Westwood's really good article that is a little more technical than CHuck's.
