The Short Solent has 4 engines, not 2. I've seen video of the plane flying easily on 4 speed 480's.

A little late with this, but I always have thought about doing a Shavrov Sh2 flying boat. It is a smaller Soviet amphibian from between the wars. It was also used in Finland, and there were ambulance versions with different color schemes too. Looks like it would be fairly simple to build. I would have to make mine electric, though, as I fly at sunrise in front of a bunch of million dollar homes!

Good luck,
Dave

One has to many wings and struts plus all the guide wires and the other would be real hard to keep the receiver dry. lol joe

OKAm I seeing things or what , it looks like the engine and propeller are in the middle of the fusalage. I have never seen a submarine do this before.
