float help!
theres one guy in are club who knows floats so i came here.....well i was wondering about how to make floats i just got done making the plane a mini avistar with a .061......i'm thinking faom.

a hot wire maybe? goto big hobby shop, they usually do float cutting there

You can make a set of floats for mere pennies, using styrofoam insulation. Here's a web-site.

Just got a pair for a .061 plane. They were inexpensive and nicely made. I had to add a water rudder to mine (found this out after the plane didn't turn properly and I had to chase it to the other side of the pond). I hope to try the new water rudder tomorrow. |
