float help!

theres one guy in are club who knows floats so i came here.....well i was wondering about how to make floats i just got done making the plane a mini avistar with a .061......i'm thinking faom.

You can make a set of floats for mere pennies, using styrofoam insulation. Here's a web-site.

These are good basic floats. Commercially available floats tend to be more detailed or scale-like.
Several float suppliers are listed on my club website: See the signature line below. We collected all the amassed wisdom of float-ology and stuffed it into this one website. One of these days I will re-organize it to make stuff easier to find...but it's there.

Just got a pair for a .061 plane. They were inexpensive and nicely made. I had to add a water rudder to mine (found this out after the plane didn't turn properly and I had to chase it to the other side of the pond). I hope to try the new water rudder tomorrow.
