You figured it out correctly. It is so dirt cheap that it will only use that transmitter. They have a couple other birds that are like that also.

Most modern LiPo batteries will charge at 5C with no problem. ...

Getting 12 minutes out of a battery on almost any helicopter is going to be next to impossible. The reason is the motors draw anywhere from 10 to 20C which sucks the life out of a battery real quick....

Use Google for lots of choices.

I doubt you will find fast battery charge in anything. Batteries like to charged at 1 to 5C, but the motors drain them at 10 to 20C.
