The plane can handle 17/18 pounds. Mine came out at nearly 19.5 pounds(saito180). It's a heavy plane..., But landed well ....did need some room to drop its tail tho.
I would highly recommend...

The rudders and gear doors all require a servo of the hs225 mini size. They can be digital or whatever. The recommended servo is listed for the nose gear in the manual...i think it's an hs5245mg.

ESM has been out of business for a couple years now. Some shops in Europe or Africa still might have one, but not all shops list them as ESM. A few shops in South Africa called them something else
