Hi Lars, thanks for the reply. That is good, helpful information. So the reason your 7-35 UMS is so reliable now is because you switched to the Saito 120r3 carburettor, or is it a new type of UMS...

Ah, so mine must be one of the transitional types the F-91AC is cast onto the side of the crankcase. Any idea roughly when this was? I've been trying to work out when this one would have been made....

After '06, ah, I thought these engines had been out of production since before then. I'm only guessing that mine is 10+ years old, the guy in the store swears it's one of the last batches. I've not...

Sorry I didn't realise the difference. The engine I bought says "FZ91" on the box, and F-91AC cast into the crankcase. I thought AC just stood for Air Chamber and the FZ was one of the air chamber...

Oh right, Mylar. Someone mentioned that and I'd forgotten about it, but if that diaphragm is indeed Mylar then I've got nothing to worry about. Four Stroker, yes you're right, no need to go nuts on...

The guy at the store said somehow he knew it was the silicone type, which sounds like it's the one you want. But if I'm going to be ordering more then I guess they'll be silicone type? Since they...

Cool thanks for that, but I'm surprised. The usual 4-stroke equivalent to a .60 2-stroke is said to be about an 80, and this "supercharged" .91 they tell me is really equivalent to about a 1.05 or...

Thanks very much, I appreciate the info. Someone told me to avoid ARO's based on ordinary mineral oils but without knowing my way around the market, I really wouldn't have known what to go for.

I...

Great, thanks for that advice Warhawk. Yeah I don't think there would be anything especially difficult or confusing about the unique properties of a YS, just different. Basically I plan to follow the...

Hi guys, I've recently also bought a YS FZ-91AC, mint in box from a store, old stock never sold, run or even fueled or oiled, so it's absolutely as new. I even got to pop the original plastic bag....

FZ 91 Mint in box, soon to run first time

I've heard this and been wondering, what's the right oil to use then? I'd be grateful if you could recommend an ARO that won't attack the silicon in my FZ-91AC. I just got this mint-in-box, never run...
