RE: GMS Engine Tuning Problem

Its more fun to fix a problem and get the satisfaction
than it is to sell the problem. Anything made on an assembly
line can have a problem, the fun of the hobby is being
smarter than the...

RE: GMS Engine Tuning Problem

I think this is where the Lad went wrong with the theory. The low speed
does have an influence on the high speed, but only to a certain point. This
will vary on different carbs. The gap is...

RE: Engine cuts off mid flight - Need advice

Almost always when an engine quits running in flight it is due
to a lean condition and overheating. An engine running rich will
hardly ever quit in flight. It will be low on power, but will...

RE: GMS Engine Tuning Problem

Within 1/2 turn is ok on other carbs????

If you are doing this your engine will quit running quite often in flight
when you throttle back to idle after running full blast and the engine...

RE: ringed engine break in?

That is the reason some of these posters said phoey with the manuals
and they stick to the time proven methods. Like Dave said, you wouldn't
run a chain saw or a generator like that, Why would...

RE: ringed engine break in?

All true, Dave. Ringed engines need to be up to temperature to seat the ring.
Running an engine sloppy rich will insure the engine will be a dog
for its lifetime. That's a fact. Keep up the good...

RE: BEST bang for the buck .91-1.00 2 stroke

Most of the newer 91's are just bored out .60's and they
won't really cut the mustard in the Cap, nor will they pull
much prop. Look for a Magnum or an ASP 1.08. They will
give the power you...

RE: bad saito 100?????

Those fuels have synthetic only oil. If you use fuels with a good
percentage of castor as a blended oil/fuel you wont have that problem,
and your bearings will last for many years.

RE: MAS vs APC Props

I like props that look like props. I don't use the APC props because they
are ugly and dont look like props. I dont care if the plane would go an
extra 2 mph or not. :)
