RE: 1/4 Sig J-3 Cub FIRST BUILD HELP!

OK so I have decided that I am going to cover the plane with dope and Koverall. Then paint. (thining about rib stitching but don't want to get too detail-ish with it). Maybe later, LOL.

RE: Testing SFG's on my 35% Extra

Hey,

The most impressive difference in a plane this size, was how I could use high rate rudder while flying straight and the plane would go exactly where I pointed it without tail wagging back...

RE: Making SFG's for my 35% Extra

Almost done!

Finished both SFG's and made sure they weighed the same. I then proceeded with modifying the wing tip to attach the SFG. I uncovered the tip and marked where the holes would go....

RE: Making SFG's for my 35% Extra

Un-lightened SFG = 4.2 oz.

Lightened = 2.9 oz.

For a total of 2.6 oz saved between both. I'll take it! I can still take out more but I don't feel like it...

RE: Making SFG's for my 35% Extra

I made the caps for the wingtips out of 1/16'' ply. They will be reinforced where the blind nut goes. I also taped the cap to the SFG to make the holes for the screws.

After this I proceeded...

Making SFG's for my 35% Extra

RE: Ball bearing for OS 40 LA?

Thanks guys. I was just wondering because we are racing Q500, except limiting ourselves to OS 40 LA's and 9x6 props. Even the same plane for everybody, GP Viper. So I just wanted an edge I guess. :D...

RE: Building the 260

I think it's backwards. Manual said 5, but you really need 4. If you get a 3W 106 then you only need one. :D
