Yes - I've had two of these models. The model is VERY scale and flies very well indeed. Since its True scale, the nose is a lot heavier than one finds in the usual "standoff scale" models from...

Will: Sorry for the late reply. I did not meet Ken at Naruke's shop; perhaps he just wasn't there at the time or he's a translator used by Naruke for international sales. We talked to Naruke and he...

RE: Remake of MK Kits from Naruke

David - turns out that I am in Japan today and I'm a regular customer of Naruke. A colleague of mine called Naruke-San this afternoon and told him about the thread on rcuniverse.com. He was quite...

RE: YS-170CDI Flight Report

Alejandro,

Thanks for your reply. I had not thought of the Y-harness approach. I guess an s-Bus connector will work too. I've been using two fairly large batteries (1500 MAH Duralite packs)...

RE: YS-170CDI Flight Report

Pereira: talking about dual batteries, I wanted to understand how this setup works on the Futaba 7008 receiver (the one that ships with the 18MZ). From other (more recent) posts, I notice you've...

RE: New Servo - Futaba BLS171HV

Jim,

How bad is the centering problem with the S9070SB? I've just purchased some HV Servos for my first Futaba 18MZ project (a Naruke Aries, which I've just completed). Naruke's suggestion was...

RE: Futaba 18 MZ setup problem

Talking about setup issues, I just got a 18MZ which I'm planning on putting into a Naruke Aries. I've been using a JR 12X until now and I use a two-battery receiver power setup. This then allows...

RE: Electric ZN Line Xigris C2 Build Thread

Mavros:

The T-Canalizer dramatically increases the rudder authority of the model. But for sure, a significant amount of right-thrust is needed. I'm using the same trim as Najary (thanks...

RE: XIGRIS C2 - Canalizer Dimensions

Scott - precisely my thoughts too. The C2 flies a lot better than the Focus II and it's also much better with the Canalizer on - excellent rudder authority. I guess I'll have to wait for the Naruke...

Issac,

Yes. These do indeed look good. I'll give them a call. Thanks!

RE: XIGRIS C2 - Canalizer Dimensions

Mvelez: If you believe they are there at CH, that's good. I'll give them a call. But they only seemed to have the Gators RC Wing adjusters the last time I saw... a call will clear that.

RE: XIGRIS C2 - Canalizer Dimensions

Issac, Scott:

I now have another problem: on my left elevator, the thread of the top-part of the elevator adjuster has given way. So I need a new elevator adjuster.

Have you any idea where...

RE: XIGRIS C2 - Canalizer Dimensions

Soctt - yes, I had missed the Gluing part (a Major miss, I guess!). The build thread was simply fantastic. In fact, I bought the model only after reading the build thread. I'll get a canalizer...

RE: XIGRIS C2 - Canalizer Dimensions

Scott,

Thanks very much for your note and for the base dimensions. I guess by using the 3/8" TE sweep, one can calculate the Leading-edge sweep. If you have some other, more direct, measure of...

XIGRIS C2 - Canalizer Dimensions

Hi All:

Built a new Xigris C2, using Issac Najary's thread as a guide. On flight #13, the Canalize sheared off, unfortunately.

While I get a replacement (not easy, since I am currently in...

RE: Electric ZN Line Xigris C2 Build Thread

Hi Najary,

I built my Xigric C2 following precisely all your instructions (though the build quality does not match yours :-). I use a YS 170 (CDI) for power and so the nose weight is higher...

RE: S2 Products (Japan) Wingray

Yes, let's hope it does work out. Calling these kits "just a box of wood" is like calling a Ferrari "just a bunch of twisted metal" :D

RE: S2 Products (Japan) Wingray

Chad,

Great to see that this kit is now available directly in America. At $1500, it's a good deal. When I inquired earlier in July, S2Pro did not have the Wingray in kit form, so I ended up...

RE: Need a YS 115

Yes. Honestly, what I'd like to see is the 170 CDI series of engines with no regulator. THAT would be super! The 115 though is absolutely great. Get one!

RE: Need a YS 115

Finally flew the Focus Sport with the YS115. The engine was run on the bench for about a hour (bench-run described elsewhere).

Prop: 16x8. Fuel: 30%.

The engine produces significantly more...

YS115s - First run feedback!

Hi All:

I finally managed to run the YS115 (that I picked up last week in Japan), today. Here are the results.

RE: Need a YS 115

Vince: I just picked up a 115s in Tokyo yesterday. They went on sale in Japan about three weeks back. A little pricey : 46K JPY, which at today's exchange rate is about $510 or so. I'll only have...
