Dave, I blamed the engine but this was my fault. The fuel line filter was plugged with dirt, which I saw too late, since the filter was inverted so I did not see the dirt when disassembling it first....

I can/must speak as one of the Joe average pattern fliers;). The costs of electric prevents me from changing my only plane, which I really would like to change and which is indeed a bit too loud....

You are absolute right, there is no substitute for the sound of a 4-stroke engine. That is also my opinion! However, is this going to be the opinion of as many people as before?...
