Jim Pepino Gloster Gladiator

I just picked up a "fixer-upper" 79" span Gloster Gladiator, built from Jim Pepino plans. Didn't get the plans with it, just the airplane.

Does anyone know where the CG is located on this model?...

RE: Ace 1/3 scale Weeks Special help needed

Thanks a million! Mine has a G-62 up-front... lots of giddy-up! I've flown it twice, and found the airplane needing alot more rudder in flight (it was fine on the takeoff's), and a bit more...

RE: Ace 1/3 scale Weeks Special help needed

What would be a good set of control throws to start out with on the Weeks, say to get used to the airplane, before getting seriously aerobatic with it?

RE: Battery for a CH Ignition

And, if I had nothing but a box full of 2-3 cell Li-Po's, I probably would've asked the same question about them, too, in an effort to learn a bit more about what's good and not good for the ignition...

RE: Battery for a CH Ignition

I guess it'd be more work than just using a 5-cell 6 volt pack, if it would work with the system, eh?

RE: Battery for a CH Ignition

Because the info I got from the CH website mentioned nothing about 6 volt packs... only 4.8 volt. I asked, because I only have 6 volt packs, and wanted to be sure I wasn't going to hurt the ignition...

RE: Battery for a CH Ignition

I've got 6 volt battery packs coming out of my ears, but no 4.8 volt packs. I'll give a 6 volt-1700 mah pack a try.

Thanks,

Ed

Battery for a CH Ignition

I'm changing out engines on my Meister FW-190A, and the FPE 100 has a CH electronic CDI ignition. Looking at the CH website, it calls for a 4.8V battery of at least 800MaH. My question is, does it...

RE: Ace 1/3 scale Weeks Special help needed

Thanks for all the help! I got a sketch of the interplane strut, which worked out perfectly. The wing incidence is right on at upper (-1) and lower (0).

RE: Jack Stafford Models

I feel your pain... I've got an 18 hour day tomorrow... travelling and dealing with lawyers and a deposition, then travelling back home. :(

Good luck on the test tomorrow.

RE: Jack Stafford Models

Same here... I have a Ziroli tuka that's about half built, and a 1/3 scale BUSA Morane Saulnier that's about 3/4 built (and which I've been spending most of my time on, getting it ready to cover)....

RE: Jack Stafford Models

Looks like they're both 1/4 scale, but Stafford's is 2" longer on the wingspan. I checked most of the usual kit-cutter's sites, but they all seem to be cutting the same kits... Ziroli, Vailly, Don...

RE: G-62 kill switch help needed!
