Power = Drag x Velocity
Drag = Weight / (Lift Drag Ratio)

So if your aircraft size is doubled (wing span double = 4 times the original wing area), the weight could be 4 times the original...

Hello

I have this AXI 5320 motor.
I was planning to run it with APC 19x10E.

But I actually have a 19x10 carbon prop meant for gas engines.

Thanks for pointing out the difference between deep stall (non recoverable) and stall landing.
BTW, would stall or deep stall have any difference during landing? More reliable? etc?

I built my glider with high wing dihedral + high stabiliser .... using salvaged parts from my other birds.
Bingo! Got it to deep stall and land.

Just went through the Fuji manual again.
They suggested using a low octane fuel (without alcohol).
No specific octane numbers were mentioned

Also suggested that some gasoline has ethanol...

Well, I don't think this Fuji is a high compression engine though.
I did not quite hear the pinging with 92 octane. Maybe I am getting old.
Will ask my fellow flyers to hear it over the weekend....

Saw a couple of micro UAV ... Black Widow and Wasp.
Seems very feature packed! (GPS etc).

Wonder what kind of cameras are they using?
Apparently they weigh 2-3grams each....not sure if that...

Deep Stall Recovery

Came back from flying field over the weekend.
Saw a glider dropping straight down vertically with little forward speed.
Apparently that was a deep stall landing.
It was used as the landing area...

Wonder if there are any engines with approx ~10hp that can operate in high altitude?
Say maybe up to 20,000ft?

Any suitable turbocharged/supercharged RC engines? Turboprops?
