RE: F27 STRYKER - Way Past the Limits - Part 5 - Step in to the Dark Side...

The plane weighs 30 oz, and the motor is supposed to pull 35 amps. I'm working on cutting down the prop to that.

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

He may be making a big mistake. The motor still draws the same curent, just for much smaller durations, so a watt meter or power analyzer will show lower current, because it is averaging the current....

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

There are a lot of very good companies out there that are very concerned about their reputations.

E-Flight did something very similar for me. A burned out ESC they replaced, no questions asked....

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

I use the Medusa power analyzer. Its very usefull. I'd probably have saved a ton of money on Lipo batteries and ESCs if I had bought one a earlier.

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

If the propellor is loose, it may not be spinning as fast as the motor, which may be why you aren't getting enough power.

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

It takes some time to download. Even then for some reason it sometimes gets stuck. Try changing the "View Size" from 480 to 640 after a few minutes. I think I may try finding some other site to...

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

I don't think fiberglass is really necessary unless you are going to reshape the airfoil. Carbon reinforcement should be enough. I do recommend carbon rods along the top of the wing, all the way to...

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

A little carbon should fix that. Cut some slots in the wings, epoxy the carbon in, and while it is setting, put it on a flat board, and weigh it down so the wind stays flat, and the epoxy hardens...

RE: F27 STRYKER, WAY PAST THE LIMITS! PART 4...

If its not the servos, then I probably can't help you. Only thing I can think of is try plugging in a different servo in the same channel and see if it acts the same way. If not, then its probably...

Sometimes the gears break. You have to make sure the servos are free to move over their entire range, or program some limits into your transmitter. If you have the control rod on the outermost tip of...
