Night fly with luminous paint

Dupli-color has a new luminous paint (like your old watch hands) that might be great for a nitefly. Anyone tried it yet? $12/can at WallyWorld. I don't know if it's fuelproof. Forget the glo-stiks!

RE: Smoke system question

Thanks, 3D. Let me know what you find. So, were you satisfied with the quantity of smoke, or was it kinda lame? (Would you spend the $ again?) Did you get any smoke oil in your fuel tank? Also, did...

RE: Funtana 90, Saito 100-Which muffler?

Thanks. I checked those mfgs. All but Bisson carry 4-stroke mufflers. That flexible tube from Saito may do ok. I was looking at the Slimline earlier (smoke), but I ran into a problem with some of the...

Funtana 90, Saito 100-Which muffler?

The Saito 100 I have has an all-thread header and a muffler w/angle inlet. It will exhaust right into the cowl, no matter which way I aim it. What is the best answer?

SMOKE issues

I've had success running smoke on 4 stroke glow motors by injecting the fluid into the muffler through the nipple, with the glow fuel tank vented to atmosphere. There is a loss of performance of...

RE: What is a good ARF for a 30 4-stroke?

Two of them would be SWEET on that c-160 Transall from CPM. They are on Ebay all the time under 200 usually. Come in White (Coast Guard?) or camoflage. It's a big plane -72" WS, but according to the...

Funtana 90-what to watch for

Saw one at our field and was VERY impressed. I bought one on the auction and could not inspect it, and have been browsing the threads here. Have not read all 1100 threads yet, but see aileron servo...

Excellent service on Thunder Tiger 4-stroke

Not sure where to post this, but the people over at Ace Hobby Distributors, Inc. deserve a pat on the back for helping me get my TT 91 back running after it suffered a broken rocker arm support. i...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Thanks for the replys. I have a short "L" needle-valve extension sticking up slightly thru the top of the cowl, and can keep an eye on its position-it doen't change. I have run into that before also,...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

No, I haven't. It is new, and it pumps. I know it could have a defect, but my delima is boiling down to this: What makes a 2 stroke make a missing sound at WO throttle in air, but not on the ground?...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Sorry, I was scrolled down and did not see the ? about the openings. Opened the right inlet, closed off the left side, and opened the bottom and cut a square hole the size of the head, on the side....

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

I posted a while back that I set the midrange with the pinch method at half throttle. It's a hair leaner than the 2-4 break at half. No klunk on the vent-just tubing to the top front center of the...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Hello all, I started this thread. Sprained ankle is better, went flying today after opening cowl a LOT. Engine did ok, kept running. Still starts "missing" ar wfo, and power seems reduced a thousand...

RE: Sany KR 1100AAU, 1500AUL short life span?

Yes, I agree. I was searching around and Red S. said something about the thinner plates and other things on these cells that makes them give up the ghost a little quick. I should've pasted it when I...

RE: Sany KR 1100AAU, 1500AUL short life span?

I have two 6 volt from Cermark and I think the other two are from MPI (4.8 v). I didn't have the Triton when they were new, just a "Battery Bug" to discharge them, but it does a fine job still....

Sany KR 1100AAU, 1500AUL short life span?

I'm doing a little winter battery conditioning (Triton), and I've noticed that all of the packs with this cell designation just don't last but 1-2 yrs. They were broken in and cycled and mostly...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

I have taken you guys recomendations and have blocked the inlet on the dead side. Question-Have you found it more beneficial to open the cowl around the head (on the side of the cowl) or mainly let...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

I had a mix of problems. It started when I would invert, and it would lean and die, as if the clunk was stuck. But it wasn't. The brass tube I used in the tank (came with the Katana if memory serves)...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Happy New Year all! Well,I had a rough week, bronchitus from Xmas visiting, and then a sprained ankle. Anyway, I went in 3 turns on the pump and ran it on the ground yesterday. NV ended up at 5/8ths,...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Been a bit breezy today-not right for possible deadsticks. I will spend the time to work on the cowl, by blocking and opening. When I say it was reliable, I mean that it kept running till I stopped...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

I will turn the screw in, and leave the cowl off for cooling. Might get to go tomorrow(Texas-snow 1 day, 70 degress the next, yahoo!)
Pump install is tight and correct, right? Tank is back 1 1/2"...

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Brand new fuel, mixed by a sharp fellow in our club. Has a very sterile shop. I know that prop is a light load, but lots of folks using them, with due diligence on the little lever on the left<G>....

RE: OS 1.60 woes (with perry pump even)

Thanks, all.
1. The tubing is the clear that came with it. Seems flimsier than aerotrend, but I used the clear that they sent (from crankcase to pump diaphragm.
2. I read on here to try the A5....
