RE: Advance MKI starting the construction....

So Mr Tatolazo,

Can we expect a new lagoon at the model RC complex in Concepcion this year or are you giving up crashing airplanes and taking up sinking boats??

I will be watching this with...

RE: composite arf yak?

Guys.

Just my 2 bobs worth here.

I have 5945 Hitec's all round and would not change a thing. Putting a single 5955 or 5995 on the rudder is only saving a few grams and in a place that...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Hey every one, I think I have found the cream of carbon fiber landing gear for the PW. Comp-ARF has a two peice set for the 2.6 extra. If you cut 3/4 of an inch of the center of each leg then it...

Bryan.

You will not regret the move to the C-ARF. They are from another world. What model do have in mind or on the table.

RE: Argentinas AWESOME

Every one,

What Platero is really saying here is that the Argentinians are really crazy all the time. Especially when it comes to putting on a show. Honest to god it is a fantastic place and...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

My first set lasted about 20 landings before giving up the ghost. The second set I got from TBM and they lasted two landings. The landing was far from hard but it had two real good bounces in the...

Thanks for starting on that as I was just about to post my questions regarding carbon tubes.

I have had my Patty (s) for the past two years and have never looked like coming to grief with the...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Try Troy Built models.

They had them on a reduced price a few weeks ago.

About $60 from memory.

DKjens

I have an all white one on order. It would be sacrilegious to paint over the top quality job direct from C-ARF. I like the schemes Andreas has but like to be a little bit of an...

Well guys after reading this thread like a hawk for months I have finally got the 2.6 YAK in the air. Three flights yesterday and each one just a 100% better than the first.

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Ben,

My #1 had a Brison 3.2 and it had good vertical but not unlimited by any means of the imagination. It was a nicely balanced plane, had good knife edge and the normal flying on the wing...

Measured my prop clearance today with the standard gear fitted. I removed the graphite one as it has de laminated across about 30% of the left arch and the gear now seems soft. Will...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

No problem at all. With the plane on the wheels and tail up there is a ton of clearance. I will measure it and let you know but at a guess I would say 3 inches or more.

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

OK you guys,

Weight came in at 17.3 lbs fully loaded but less fuel.

C of G is an ever so tiny bit forward but very safe for the first flight. One ounce on the tail wheel would fix it.

You mean reinforce those flimsy little balsa angles behind the original firewall.

The carbon fibre brackets are epoxy bonded and screwed to the longitudinal frames. These worry me a little as...
