RE: K&B .61 engine?

I just put a Senior Telemaster together. I put an old K&B .61 on it. My question is, all I have is a 12x8 prop. Do you think it will be OK for this plane?

RE: Left-Handed engine start

Wow! Being 68 years old, and lefty, I just don't get it. What exactally is the difference? Us lefties just adapt. If you didn't bring it up, I wouldn't have thought about it. Is this something I...

RE: Do I really need a optikill switch?

Thanks for the info. It does look rather crude. How does a servo activate the microswitch? I used the "retracts" switch before, hoe would that work now? Bill

RE: Do I really need a optikill switch?

I was using a 42% Products Opto Kill switch on a motor with an electronic ignition and it worked great. I just switch to a Zenoah motor that doesn't have electronic ignition. Can I still use the Opto...

RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???

I just looked at the video of me flying the 182. I guess I stink at take offs in general.

RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???

Thanks guys, for all the kind words.

I know the problem, I just need to work on the fix. First I still think I could use some "washout" on the right wing. It is way to sensitive to pitching over...

RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???

Well, I broke the Cub again. Now I need another firewall, wing tube and left wing. I've almost got the hang of it though.

It cost me another firewall. Those stupid landing gear springs don't hold up at all either. I have replaced them with o-rings.

RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???

The field is in Wallkill, NY. The Cub is my first 1/4 scale. I have found, "the bigger they are, the harder they fall"!

That little bump cost me:
- new firewall
- wing tube
- cowl
-...

RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???

I'm thinking I'll just leave the controls alone and try to learn to fly the thing. I just want to stop breaking it.

RE: Building the Hangar 9 Cessna 182 Skylane

I put the cowl on and tried it out. I don't know why, but I had to cut way back on the throttle. It came in way too hot. The motor is running much better now.

RE: Building the Hangar 9 Cessna 182 Skylane

I flew it again yesterday. I had two "dead stick" landings! It lands better "power off" than "on".

I'm an "accident waiting to happen". The cheep Hobby King $129.95 30cc gas motor ran fine, but...

RE: Building the Hangar 9 Cessna 182 Skylane

Joe,

I bought the ARF box of parts from a guy over a year ago. He was at least the third owner of the box. It smelled moldy from sitting a more than one basement.
