RE: fav parkzone plane

I've been a J-3 junkie for as long as I can remember. I've built many J-3 models of various sorts.

The PZ J-3 was our "entry" plane after a many year layoff. A tough little plane that flies...

RE: Propeller Pin

3mm is .118". 1/8 rod is .125". The difference is .007".

You should be able to chuck a piece of 1/8 rod into your drill and sand it down to the proper diameter with NO problem at all. (poor...

RE: Setting up hi start

RE: HOW CAN I FIX THIS!!!

Since they're local to me, I get mine from Allerc.com. Their stuff, both CA and accelerator are (proven) foam safe. Get the wrong stuff and it will eat the foam.

RE: HOW CAN I FIX THIS!!!

Foam safe CA and some accelerator. From the pictures that shouldn't be too hard to fix at all. Get a medium CA (as opposed to thin).

Smooth everything out the best you can. "Open" the breaks...

RE: bp 12 outrunner

A good, clean (and properly done) soldier job is preferable to connections. No corrosion, no pulling apart, no vibration problems, etc.

The reason one hears NOT to soldier is that a badly...

RE: New poll/ no more polls

And the above poll is an EXCELLENT example - One sided - ONE answer - no room for any other viewpoing.

Polls, given the media and political turmoil in the US are fundamentally meaningless, so...

Question for Greg Covey

Greg,
You'd done very nice reviews of both the ParkZone J-3 and Decathalon.

Would you mind doing a comparison between the two since that question comes up on a regular basis.

Thanks

RE: Plane vocabulary

I doubt that any of us remember it on the first pass (or the dozenth). Just as long as you can remember where to LOOK, then go back as you need reenforcment on any given concept.

It's like like...

RE: Decisions, decisions, decisions

These kind are always a bit hard, since most of of use don't buy one of each.

Given that, I've had a bug for J-3's for many years and snagged it. After reading a number of reviews, it sounds to...

RE: Scale to weigh planes? Which one and where can I buy it?

Cruise yard sales and find a BABY scale. Doesn't have to be electronic, but you do have to be able to zero it. Use a soup can as a check weight.

I bought mine (for airplanes) three years before...
