The plane is built well. Yes I test fitted the cowling and it fits very well into the cowling. No problems
I would suggest this engine for this plane based on the fit.

Well I am still flying the ole Spit. It is a great plane. Lands nicely with or without flaps. And to exceed all expectations flies quite nicely on the G38. Here are some pictures.

For the scale of the cockpit here is a magazine and a dollar bill. This is larger than what I had suspected. Much larger than the cockpit for my Comp ARF P51.
