RE: RX freaking out

I am going to confirm it was the ESC/BEC

Now that I have the system clamped to the work bench and running in a controlled enviroment, it still freaked out. Good thing I didn't really like that...

RE: RX freaking out

Hey Chris,

No worries on sounding condesending, not at all. A good idiot check is what I'm trying to do, as in "What stupid thing did I do this time?"

This is my first dabble into foamies,...

RE: RX freaking out

I can add a little more, I am swinging a 10x5e APC drawing 17amps. The 1320 is rated at 13c. I let it sit for a bit and it comes back. Then after a minute of running at 3/4 throttle (10amps) it...

RX freaking out

I need help on this one.

My RX is freaking out as thought it's being hit by another TX. If this was a gas powered plane I would focus on the RX, but since it's all electric and the first time...

RE: Lipo Saftey - Reminder

No fire, the can smothered it. Lots of smoke and stink.

I also like to "baby sit", but admit I've gotten into the habit of walking away from my smaller packs.

RE: Lipo Saftey - Reminder

I was using a Astro Flight 109, the rate didn't change, the charger display showed the pack had taken .8mAh.

No idea of why it blew. My gut says the pack was abused in it's former life. But I...

Lipo Saftey - Reminder

We all here about and now I've lived it.

A recent purchase from eBay included a 3 cell 1100mAh Kokam lipo. I was told the battery wasn't holding a good charge any more, but what the heck he...

RE: Super Sportster 60

With only a few flights on the lipo's it's tough to say. But judging from the quality of other Skyshark products I have, I am happy.

I use a Astro 109s and blinky(s)

RE: SkysharkRC Edge 540

This kit has gone together quick. The guys at SkysharkRC have done a great job.

I pulled the ply fuel tank support and set the batteries in the engine box. The CG came out near perfect. I...

RE: 157" Discus Glider

Well I'm back for a bit. I'm all ready to go, just need the time and a nice day. I like the idea of more money & less hours in compensation for our hobby. Or is it an addiction?

Anyway, Big...

Flight #2 went great, got things trimmed out.

Flight #3 well, I should have waited for a clamer day. 10mph steady wind,...

RE: First Foamie What did I do wrong

After being out of the hobby for over 8 years, it's taken me awhile to understand why anyone would want a foamie. But 3D looks so good I have to do it. Now that I've built and flown a foamie, you...

RE: First Foamie What did I do wrong

Thanks for the input guys

Being my first foam build, I followed instructions in the kit. Lesson learned, "if you think it's not strong enough, it's mostly likey not" I was able to pick up most...

RE: Super Sportster 60

Thanks for the input Ray. I added 1" to the LG and this gives me 3/4" clearance to the ground with the tail high. Next will be changing out the spinner, I hadn't thought of that. I really should...

RE: Super Sportster 60

All together with batteries and motor 11lbs. I have a 16x10 APC e-prop on it. I won't be able to roll down the field with this prop unless I go to much larger wheels. 3 1/4" are on it in the pic....

Have the motor mounted using the idea from algutkin, Thanks!

I'm now ready to install batteries and wire things up. The location in the pic is where the CG fell. I'm thinking of using velcro...
