RE: Looking for a lap counter system

I checked with Parallax, but they do not have an 'antenna' that could cover the width of the track. Their readers can only cover a few inches... I am checking with them to see if multiple readers can...

RE: Looking for a lap counter system

Thanks for your info, but you might have mis-read a few things:
I am looking into using RFID, not IR...
I am in West Michigan, which only has maybe 4 decent size tracks in a 250 mls radius.......

RE: Looking for a lap counter system

Depends on the hardware. If I would go with a standard AMB system, it would work for Laps Free from rctiming.com, but I will have to figure out what the hardware system will be. I might have to write...

RE: MR Ninja MR21 B01 5 port Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine

I experienced the same problem during break-in. Just pry it loose and try again. After a few tanks it will stop locking up. This motor just has a lot of pinch and compression that it will lock up TDC...

RE: Looking for a lap counter system

As far as the software, I found the following site: http://www.rctiming.com/. They offer their software for free to use and it has a lot of functionality. That software would be sufficient. Now just...

RE: Looking for a lap counter system

I like your way of thinking. There is a picture of the track at http://www.m40raceway.com

The problem with IR is that it's an off-road track and I would think with IR you need to get it aimed...

RE: 1/8 Scale Exceed-RC Razor

TeamVTX VTX-B1: The best RTR buggy for the price. You will eventually end up replacing the radio (1st) and the motor (2nd), but the chassis is really good as well as their customer service.

RE: Looking for a good race buggy under 350?

You could look at a TeamVTX VTX-B1. We are running a few at our track and the chassis is pretty good. The motor is ok, but won't last. The only thing bad about the RTR is the radio, but that is the...

RE: Looking for a lap counter system

Thanks for letting me know, but it looks like that system is just to calculate one car's lap time, as it triggers on something passing through...

RE: Engines?

I ran the Ninja on the track today and even though I need to fine-tune it a little bit, this motor is excellent! The temps stay pretty low (230), the performance is really good. It's easy to tune and...

RE: need help buying buggie for beginner!

I own a VTX-B1 and my buddy does too. Other than the radio, it is a really solid buggy, especially for the money. RC Driver did a review on it not too long ago and they were really pleased about it....
