RE: Fly too high?

Guys,

Density Altitude is the measure of how high the plane "thinks" it is when flying. Here is a quick fact that will help you rationalize the impact of the higher altitudes that you guys fly...

RE: Electrifly Equinox Balance Plugs

What is the difference in your balancer and the Blinky. I think the Blinky is too complicated.

RE: Blinky vs. Equinox

Outside of this, are they pretty much the same? I am looking to help my dad out, so I want a user friendly design.

RE: Blinky vs. Equinox

No big deal. I'll find some use for the adapter.

I am probably going to get the LBA6 adapter because the Blinky is not my favorite thing. A little too hard to follow, and not very intuitive. ...

RE: Blinky vs. Equinox

OK. It looks like the LBA6 is the proper connector, not the LBA 10. Can someone confirm that this will work with the Equinox. If so, I will try again. Anybody want to buy a LBA10 to Thurnder...

RE: Blinky vs. Equinox

This is not true. I orderd the Hyprion to TP adapter based on your comment and went to the LHS to match up with the Equinox. Well.....they don't. The female plug that receives the pins lined up on...

RE: Blinky vs. Equinox

I looked at an Equinox in the hobby shop today. It will take the Electrifly and E-Flight batteries, and maybe a few others, but the Apogee and Thunderpower compbatability is not there. That is a...

RE: Blinky vs. Equinox

Thanks Rich. Hopefully someone will come through with some feedback on the Qquinox and how compatable it is. Do you know what the Blinky's max charge rate that it can deal with is? The accucycle...

Blinky vs. Equinox

I have a Hobbico Accu Cylcel Elite, and want to add a balancer. The only 2 that I have seen are the Astroflight Blinky, and the Great Planes Equinox. Unfortunately, I have a broad variety of...

RE: Help !

It would be best to hook it to a small 12v battery, but you could hook it to you car battery if that is all that you have. That is the DC input for the battery charger. You likely have an input for...

Battery Charger User Reviews

I would love to see the User Review Seciton enhanced to include battery chargers as well. When you go to buy one, you have to scour these forums for information on what the "real world" thinks of...

RE: 3 cell Lipo back will not charge

Use a charger that will let you select the voltage instead of one that "recognizes" the battery. That will let you choose the voltage to match the battery. WARNING- Charge at an extremely low rate...

RE: FMA sticks it to the LHS again!!

Unfortunately not EVERY LHS is so great to deal with. The guys at one of the shops here will sell you whatever they have on the shelf, and feed you a line of BS to get it out the door. They do it...

RE: Why discharge a LiPo?

It is just there so that you can check the capacity of the battery. i.e. discharge, and then charge to see how many MAH's it will hold.

Don't discharge to store. You should store LIPO's at 80%...

RE: 3 cell Lipo back will not charge

You are going to have the measure the voltage on the pack before anyone can help you. If you are as low as you say, the charger is probably recognizing the battery as a 2 cell and won't charge it. ...

RE: Best Charger investment?

I have the Accu Cylce Elite. It is a great charger with a great versatility. The programming isn't exactly "intuitive", but after you use it a few times, you will know your way around. The great...

RE: Need Answer Quick-T Rex 450SE vs 450SA

Is the SE a better all round performer, and do the aluminum parts make it more durable? Will the SE be more stable?

RE: Need Answer Quick-T Rex 450SE vs 450SA

Forgot to mention that the 450se comes with the aluminum case too (not the big one but the small one with parts). I really appreciate the help and advice. You guys are always great!

RE: Blade CP Pro Losing Power

Nothing seems to be overheating. I am going to get an extra battery since I need one anyway. I will see if that helps. If not, I am probably going to send it back to horizon and see what they say.

I have only about 10 flights on my CP Pro. I bought the G90 Gyro and installed on about the 4th flight. It made it a lot easier to hover. Anyway, when I first started with the helicopter, I could...

RE: Anyone put a tail wheel on a Mini Ultra Stick?

Any photo's yet?

I want to do mine. The skid doesn't allow much control on a paved runway at slow speed.
