160sx overtemp on start

Hi All,

As a jet newby with a 160sx kerostart turbine, trying to control the egt below 950c during start has now been resolved...

Instead of trying to limit the max EGT[sm=drowning.gif]...

The manual I was supplied by a (in(famous)) so called "turnkey" jet builder in the uk could not even supply the correct manual for my kerostart 160sx... Lots of information about...

Hi c4f,

I too ran the pump for many hours at low voltage to "run it in", however the engine still continued to hunt at idle. The original idea that I posted sought to enable stable rpm operation...

I don't have the faintest idea about ecu design, however I have a little experience in the use of the Wren MW54 turboprop engine. In most respects this unit operates quite satisfactorily...
