NO REVERSE XL1 ESC STAMPEDE

Ihave a stampede that lost reverse ,foward works fine. The red LED turns on,but no movement.realizing it is only 40 dollars to replace it .i decided anyways to take it apart,and found 2 cracked...

I purchased that kit. It is from RAD RC. The gearing is way too tall ,even though it says that you can use it on the TRX2.5, you would need smaller wheels...IT is basically a NITRO 4 tec 2speed kit...

must remember this is a centrifugal rpm close ratio 3speed..meaning 2-3 shift must be at a higher rpm than the 1-2 shift,otherwise it will skip 1-2 all together and go right into 3rd:Dengine output...

detriot diesels are supercharged and turbocharged these 2 strokers are nothing like nitro engines...detriots need forced air induction to provide cyllinder scavenging,our little nitros have port...

Think of the possabilities with 4strokes in car and truck applications.High perf ported heads , higher lift cams.custom exhaustsystems.the writing is on the wall :D

My advise to you is go back and search through this forum ..there are previous threads all about the nx76 and truckzilla..you will find the july05 issue of nitro magazine dynoed the nx76 at 1.58...

Im not sure ,but i think is was RC..car action that tested the genesis last year and the 46 engine put out 1.58 ponies and 75inch pounds of torque at23000 rpm..Ihave a truckzilla kit on my savage and...

i purchased an earlier 3speed kit for my TMAXX.Ifound that it was nothing more than a traxxas nitro 4tec 2speed clutchbell and spur gear set with extremely tall gear ratios.....45-41...spur and 20-16...

It appears to be a very tempermental engine .[:o] not very tight tolerances causes a very difficult breakin and inconsistant running [:@]

On mine i broke out the dremmel tool and opened up that restrictive exhaust manifold but i have no means of comparison with another vehicle . that badboy just needs to breath[>:]......

i have one almost broken in.[X(] the engine is very torquey,,,,,YOU SHOW ME A DYNO READING THAT PROOVES ITS CLAIMED 4.8 HORSEPOWER[:[>:] AND I MIGHT BELIEVE IT.........but the truck is a lot of fun...
