RE: half-tank lean problem!!!

What you're missing is that all R/C fuel tanks do basically the same thing, slightly rich when full, slightly lean when empty. The problem comes when people tune their engine too lean, then it gets...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

The Savage X is not that much lighter than the original Savage, it's 10.9 lbs versus the original at 11.3 lbs. Most of the weight savings is in sprung weight for handling, but you can replace those...

RE: Savage X Engine is it an Upgrade?

I've been running the F4.1 in my Savage X for nearly 3 gallons and it is definitely faster than the S-25. It's a new engine and the customer service guys don't all go out and test every product, so...

RE: DRX Hellfire body on a Savage???

It will fit, but you will need to mark the post holes and run it a little high to clear the roll hoop. The length is pretty much the same as the normal Savage body.

RE: what the hell do i do, theres no spur gear for savage x, mine broke

Just leave a message, they will call you back.

If you already have an older Savage you can use your slipper clutch and spur gear will fit on the Savage X.

If you don't have the parts,...

The shaft is the same, so you can bolt on the old slipper clutch parts to use the old spurs.

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

I already said that we will have a tuned pipe and brakes, and as you can see from the video the Baja 5B has excellent power and brakes in completely stock form. There are already companies making...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

rcmad, I don't think you understand how much off-roading we do here in America. We didn't copy an old Tamiya buggy, we based the Baja 5B on the popular desert racing buggies that currently compete in...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

I'm sure we could have made our buggy compatible with the existing pipes, existing wheels, existing tires etc. but we wanted to make something unique rather than compromise the design for...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

Please everyone, calm down a little. There is no need for arguments. FG is here to stay, FG fans are here to stay, and HPI has no problem with that. The Baja 5B will add to the giant scale market and...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

I can understand pointing you to the video if you were worried about the strength of the arms. It shows the Baja 5B crashing a few times with no breakage. Other than that all we can say is that they...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

Not being coy, the lead designer was out of the country so I couldn't ask him directly. The official word is that there will be an optional stinger exhaust.

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

Not quite, it's more like: "there are hundreds of things that could delay the delivery date at this point, and nothing that will make it happen quicker." It's a very complicated process making a...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

I'm not so sure of that after driving some of the existing giant scale cars and now the Baja 5B. When driving the Baja 5B you can easily catch drifts because it drives more like a real car. There is...

RE: HPI Baja Buggy!!!!

The spur gear is holding up great in our testing.

Regarding racing, if the Baja 5B is popular I'm guessing a class will be created for it.
