RE: Wind wind go away come again never!

Brett65:

Where are you flying in Oklahoma City?
It was always funny at the TORKS field when the wind was calm, seems like all of us had problems landing anywhere close to the runway without...

RE: Monitoring output... ??? heh??

I'm about to take off into the world of e-flite and have been reading everything I can regarding amp draw.

I am still a little confused about one aspect though.....

So let's say I've got a...

RE: My new Airfoilz Yak 54!

Sweet, mine just shipped out and I'm looking forward to getting started on the build. I'm glad to see the yellow and black color scheme as that is the same colors I chose.

What setup are you...

RE: MA's name the plane- am I missing something?

RE: Some here already know me

Here's the actual quote from the transcript from CNN Late Edition

GORE: But it will emerge from my dialogue with the American people. I've traveled to every part of this country during the last...

RE: Free Plane!

Usually at our field, if something is left by mistake, it is put into the frequency board box. I've seen field batteries, screwdrivers, plane stakes, etc. Kind of our "lost and found".

MA's name the plane- am I missing something?

Just read the newest issue of MA (great heli coverage this month, thanks!)

On page 26 is this month's "Name the Plane". Now, am I missing something, or is MA giving us a freebee, since the words...

RE: Simulators or lack of?

You don't need the greatest, most expensive computer to use the sim. I am currently using G3.5 an old computer. AMD Athlon XP 2000+ , 166 mhz processor and 512 mb of RAM. I paid $500 for it 3-4 years...

RE: Nov. MA mag heli confusion

If this is refering to me, then there is an inherant problem. I am fairly new to R/C helis. That is why I need information. If I knew enough to write an article, then I wouldn't need to read articles...

Nov. MA mag heli confusion

Hey, guys!

(/being sarcastic rant)

I just got back from the mail box and was gleefully toteing the latest issue of MA. As an avid heli pilot, I've been trying to find the articles about...

RE: Do I need an instructor?

There is more to rc flight than just knowing which way to move the sticks. Safety, trouble shooting, going over your plane, etc.

As I was building my trainer, I hit the sim hard. Saved a lot of...

RE: plane or heli?

I don't know, I personally didn't find heli's any harder to learn than a plane. It's just different. Put some training gear on a .30+ size nitro heli and hop around the ground at your own pace....

RE: G3.5 public beta is HERE!

Okay. When you purchase G3, when you start it, it starts a "launcher". From here you can have it automatically update new versions as it comes out. G3 out of the box is okay, but once you update it,...

RE: G3.5 public beta is HERE!

I think it took me about 15min with cable internet. The night flying is pretty cool (graphic intensive), but the heli training is brutal!

RE: E-Flite Blade CX2

Sorry if I confused you, I didn't mean you get the nice Spectrum radio. I meant that the radio is based off of that technology (2.4ghz DSM technology). I got this from Horizon's website:

RE: Newbie Questions

Congrats, helis are a lot of fun and very entertaining.

I would highly recommend a quality sim. I used G3 for many months. There are other quality sims out there, I just don't have experience...

RE: 4mm coro, combat, .25?

Hor is a good idea. I noticed the plans call for 2mm coro for the wings. Do I just build it with the 4 mm coro and try to lighten it up elsewhere?

RE: 4mm coro, combat, .25?

Calls for a .15, I was wondering about the gnat myself. Do you think a .25 would be too much?

4mm coro, combat, .25?

Well, several of us at our club are looking into trying some combat stuff. We had decided to build .40-size SPADS and start having some fun. I went out and purchased 2 8'x4' sheets of 4mm Coro and...
