I think it took me about 15min with cable internet. The night flying is pretty cool (graphic intensive), but the heli training is brutal!

Okay. When you purchase G3, when you start it, it starts a "launcher". From here you can have it automatically update new versions as it comes out. G3 out of the box is okay, but once you update it, the program is a lot better (more planes, photo fields, and enhancements to the physics engines. 3.5 adds (supposedly) better physics, night flying, new training options, etc.

I just tried out 3.5 beta and it installed without problems (except that it couldn't find my start menu shortcuts because I moved the originals). I tried out the hover training....
Unbelievable! This is exactly what I needed. Worth the price of the software alone. It teaches you controls one control at a time and then allows you to manage two controls then all controls... Exceptional training aid!!!

Sscherin,
Is your G3 installed at work? Do you have a way to transfer the install from work to home?
Near as I can tell, G3's support doesn't offer a way to download an updater. You have to "download" through the installer and that updates the program. Users can't get a copy that's transportable, only an updated install.
I did the update at work in 5-10 minutes.. Your DL times may vary.. We have dual DS3's to the net

I've got G3 installed on my computer at home and my Dad's computer at his place, and I've never had trouble updating either one. You just have to download it to each computer you have it installed on.

I must be doing something wrong, I tried to downlaod 3.5 last night and it stated that I have the latest edition. I have dial-up, Is that the problem or did I try to download wrong?

did you follow these instructions ....

If your on dial up I'd create a restore point in XP just in case one of the files gets corrupt and screws up your g3 installation.
