RE: nitro model B25

Hey Dan,
I got my B-25!!! I thought I was getting a silver one but it looks real green to me. I decided to paint it a more natural camo green and soon as it dries a couple of days I'll give it a...

RE: nitro model B25

Hey Dan,
I am thinking about buying one. Have you tried balancing it yet? This will decide what motors I put on mine. I use lead when I have no other choice.

Thanks,
Mark

RE: New 81" P-47 ARF coming from Hangar 9

Came across another concern....rx and battery location would be pretty close to the EI module (Evolution 26GT) if located per instructions...isn't that supposed to be avoided if at all possible?

RE: New 81" P-47 ARF coming from Hangar 9

I don't have any pictures. It is a very simple installlation using the same motor mounts that is supplied with the kit.
I did enlarge the motor mount holes by sloting them. I put the ignition...

RE: New 81" P-47 ARF coming from Hangar 9

Yea, Horizon Hobby has great service. I had a problem with my Evolution 1.6 Gas engine and they replaced the CDI module.
It runs great now!!! Pulls a 18x 8 prop at 7800 - 7900 RPM's and idles...

RE: New 81" P-47 ARF coming from Hangar 9

I used the same rudder servo and just ran another rod to the tail wheel arm. I moved the tail wheel arm to the other side and it works great with no additional servo or added weight. On the rudder...

Hey that sounds great! Yours balanced with no lead? Where did you mount your electronic engine controls and battery?

Thanks,
Mark

RE: New 81" P-47 ARF coming from Hangar 9

I am waiting on a Pitts inverted muffler for my Evolution 26GT engine. Has anybody used this engine on the P-47 yet? According to the manual it recommends an 18x6 prop and will turn about 8700 rpm's!...

RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

I don't think flaps are necessary, but would look real cool and should slow it down even more.
Also, would work well using the air brake.
I flew it again yesterday. It keeps the tail up along...

RE: H9 60 Size P-47 Thunderbolt-Build & Flying

My P-47 flies great and no major problems with the stock retracts!

Has anyone modified the wing for functional flaps?
