RE: Break in stand for the cold

Good luck with your new vehicles. You're doing the right thing by waiting for warmer weather although it must be driving you crazy just looking at them. I would suggest that you heat the engine...

RE: On-Board Temperature Gauge

Are you reading the max temp? Cycle the top left button. Should go from max to min to normal. Hope this helps!

RE: Converting 2.5R To 3.3

The center front drive shaft assembly is longer. The 2.5 uses #5455, the 3.3 chassis uses #5456.

RE: Won't Idle

It sure sounds like an air-leak. Have you checked your fuel lines and fuel cap O-ring?

RE: Carb troubles. Pictures included

Your carburetor might be slightly out of alignment which causes a binding and does not allow full throttle. http://www.traxxas.com/PDF-Library/5207RINST.pdf

RE: Moments that make you slap yourself

Ok, I hate to admit this, but...I repowered my Revo with the OS 18tm, and at the same time converted it to pull-start. Everything went extremely well with the break-in, etc. The following week I...

RE: Heat cycle break-in???

Excellent, thank you for the clarification. Gonna give it a whirl tomorrow if our local weatherman is correct.

RE: Heat cycle break-in???

Thanks, Bax. I guess from what I'm reading, OS does not require engine to be cooled down at any point during break-in?

RE: How much has everyone spent??

Hardly nothing...aside from 2 Revo's and enough spare parts / engine / frame / shells to build a 3rd. It's the maintenance that's expensive. When I started, I did not own or need a compressor but...

RE: Heat cycle break-in???

Thank you, Alan. Interesting link. It's only the 2nd time I've read that you start out running engine at full throttle immediately. The other was in response to a 18 tz question on this same...

Heat cycle break-in???

Just replaced my 2.5r with the 18 tm and would like to do the right thing as far as breaking it in. My only other experience in glow engines was the 2.5r which came with very precise, step by step...

RE: BLUE WIRE MELTING AT GLOW PLUG????

Experienced the same thing. I found that a couple pieces of heat shrink tube ( one on top of the other ) extended my wire's life quite a bit.

RE: Revo 2.5R tranny question

Make sure someone hasn't over-tightened the slipper clutch. It's function is to slip rather than put undo stress on the trans gears. As far as a suspension chart, the owners manual covers this...

RE: discontinued 2.5R Revo?

Revo 2.5r gone from limited quantities to discontinued this AM on Tower. Does this mean that there will only be a 3.3 T-Maxx available or is the 2.5r discontinued only in the Revo?

RE: discontinued 2.5R Revo?

On Tower the "Stadium Maxx" is discontinued. The Revo 2.5r is still "In Stock - Limited quantities"

RE: Confused Which Monster to BUY

Can only vouch for the Revo. In 5+ gals of bashing (some not pretty to watch, some just plain ugly) I've broke (1) front A-arm, bent (1) front push rod, and pulled out (1) rear shock rod end. More...

RE: Aluminum Tie rod ends??

You might try to add a few spins of teflon pipe tape to the rod before threading the end on. Depending on how much you use, it should tighten up the tolerances enough to hold an adjustment without...

RE: Some info needed for a noob.

Because of the horror stories I've read on these forums, my first upgrade was a failsafe. I tried the motor-saver A/F but returned to stock, not because of any personal problems, but the stories...
