That idea actually isn't that bad. For racing purposes you could rev up the engine to it's peak power/good rpm spot and let out the clutch accordingly just like real cars do. Kind of a power launch...

I just found that when i turn it over slowly I can hear it leaking air, but the problem is I can't take the head off because two of the screws are stripped :(! So I'll let you know how that goes...
