RE: what tape to use for sale making?

I don't know if you can get this in office supply stores, but 3M 950 double sided tape would be ideal for spinnaker cloth and light mylar cloths.

RE: building sailboats

post 'em up. If it's possible for me to recreate the lines in a 3d program, I can scale 'em to any size.

RE: sea lite, mods LOL

Once you try and sail it, I think you'll find it VERY over powered.

I put a 4" taller mast on mine, with a square top main, and it doesn't sail. the CLR and CE are out of alignment. the boat...

I would love to see how you guys are connecting the rudder servo to the rudder post. And also if you are running limit switches (of some sort) on the rudder servo.

RE: Fairing after FG

Did you fair the blasa planks before you glassed? How unfair are we talking here? Once I faired my mold, and glassed it, the hull shape was almost perfect with very little defect in the surface of...

RE: custom hull update

Update:
I've finished the mold, laid two layers fiberglass, and seperated the two in the past week. Pretty stoked to have a hull. Today I went ahead with cutting and shaping the keel strut and...

RE: Looking for an aluminium mast with foil border of attack

I can only assume hes after foiled shaped alloy to minimize the drag around the mast, as well as minimize seperation on the luff.

Border of attack.. Angle of attack to which leading edge of the...

RE: just curious

I couldn't tell you why people haven't; But I can tell you that my new boat will not use a jib boom and have the forstay run through a pocket in the luff of the jib.

I think most people buy...

RE: cant this

None at all. I'm just going to use a 3 channel remote, and the thrid channel will control a high torque servo. I see no advantage to allowing the boat to figure it out itself.

Plus being able...

RE: cant this

RE: cant this

There is no way that 55 degrees wouldn't require a foward foil. The boat wouldn't track at all. I am almost positive that the big canters don't can't over 45, and usually less than that when the...
