I would choose the homelight as well. I have a Toro Full crank motor and it has a clutch and I dont think weight is an issue. Clutch hardly adds any weight and I think the safety factor is worth it....

I have the larger version .67 on a tunnel and It doesn't idle at all in the water. I think the porting is kind of radical, not sure if the 3.5 is the same as the 11cc but if it is it will not idle...

Took out the new boat this past week and learned a few things. When Removing the return spring on a Wt644 Carb you Must install a spacer to keep butterfly valve from binding up in venturi at WOT....
