RE: Engine won't start

It's most likely the glow plug. I doubt you did any real engine damage, depending on how long it ran. Get a new glow plug, make sure it glows, then install it and have fun.

The lower shock mounts are pins pressed through the lower control arm. How can I remove them? Should I drill out the pin and later replace it with a nut and bolt? One of my shocks has a bent shaft...

RE: Tornado EPx loses power and/or stops

It happens with different batteries, so I suspect the ESC cutoff my be set too high, like for Niimh cells. I'll reset it and see what happens. Thanks for your info. It did help.

I should have one of these on the UPS truck tomorrow. I'll be adding rudders and I will take pictures of what/how I added them. Just looking at pictures I think the two rudder servos will mount in...

RE: CMP Katana 72" COG problem

Oops, you are right. The HS65's went in a PA Extra 260, and the Katana got HS625's I think (not at home now) . The Hitec Hi torque metal gear version. The battery is not in until I figure out the CG...

CMP Katana 72" COG problem

I'm building a CMP 72" Katana using a G26 engine. The engine needed 7/8" standoffs to put the prop backplate right outside of the cowl. With this heavy engine I expected the plane to be very nose...

RE: Radio options for 39

There are several ways to go, but none are "cheap". The minimum you'll be ok with is one of the 6 channel radios (I still like JR). Next up is maybe the Eclipse 7, which I have. It's not bad but I...

RE: Spinning

Maybe cooling fins for the motors? That's a pure guess, but should be cheap.

RE: Inexpensive Li-poly charger recommendation

Although the Hobbico will charge other battery types at up to 2amps, Lipos are clipped to 1 amp according to the instructions. I assume this is for safety purposes. The charge rate should only affect...

RE: Spinning

While it's on the ground it's harder for it to spin (gravity). Check the servo and gyro direction. With the rudder at neutral look at the tail blades. Now move the rudder stick left. The tail blade...

RE: Heli Electronics

I like the JR8103 or 9303. Obviously the 9303 is better, but the 8103 really has everything you need. If you order directly from horizonhobbies.com you can get a "custom" JR package with micro servos...

Which JR servos? Receiver

I'm about to order a JR8103, but which servos should I get? The S241 or S341? These will go in a Blade or a T-Rex. Also, should I get the R700 receiver (7 channel) or the R610UL (6 channel)?

Heli choice

Guys (and gals if necessary),

I have an X-Cell 60 Graphite that I love, but it's a little too big to fly at home. Is there an electric that will be even half as stable? I'd really like something...
